Every time Japan has an electronic/gadget show, you can be sure to find some interesting robots. The CEATEC Japan 2004 is no exception. Here are some of the robots shown at the CEATEC this year.
J4, a 200-millimeter tall humanoid robots made by JVC, demonstrated its ability of walking smoothly and greeted visitors at the JVC's booth. The J4 can be controlled via Bluetooth. The company will install a camera in J4's head, which allows the robot to verify the picture it sees from the personal computer in the future.

Intelligent Robot Lab of University of Tsukuba showed their family of autonomous mobile robot named "YAMABICO". These robots serve as a platform for various research purposes and come in various types and sizes with ultra sonic sensors, bumper sensors and control boards.
